KJV: And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.
NASB: When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them.
KJV: But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
NASB: But Jesus perceived their malice, and said, "Why are you testing Me, you hypocrites?
KJV: Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
NASB: "Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near;
KJV: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
NASB: so, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.
KJV: And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
NASB: and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.
KJV: But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
NASB: "But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.
KJV: The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
NASB: the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour which he does not know,
KJV: Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
NASB: "And the one also who had received the one talent came up and said, 'Master, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering where you scattered no seed.
KJV: When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
NASB: But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, "Why do you bother the woman? For she has done a good deed to Me.
KJV: And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
NASB: And He said to them, "Do you not understand this parable? How will you understand all the parables?
