And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

and longing to be fed with the crumbs which were falling from the rich man's table; besides, even the dogs were coming and licking his sores.

No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

"No, nor has Herod, for he sent Him back to us; and behold, nothing deserving death has been done by Him.

But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

"But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, it is the third day since these things happened.

And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.

There was much grumbling among the crowds concerning Him; some were saying, "He is a good man"; others were saying, "No, on the contrary, He leads the people astray."

Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
NASB:
"However, we know where this man is from; but whenever the Christ may come, no one knows where He is from."
KJV:
I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
NASB:
"I know that you are Abraham's descendants; yet you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you.
KJV:
And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them.
NASB:
But none of the rest dared to associate with them; however, the people held them in high esteem.
