and began saying to Him, "By what authority are You doing these things, or who gave You this authority to do these things?"

The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
NASB:
"Was the baptism of John from heaven, or from men? Answer Me."

And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
NASB:
They came and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that You are truthful and defer to no one; for You are not partial to any, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay a poll-tax to Caesar, or not?
KJV:
Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
NASB:
"Shall we pay or shall we not pay?" But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why are you testing Me? Bring Me a denarius to look at."

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
NASB:
"But of that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

"Therefore, be on the alert-- for you do not know when the master of the house is coming, whether in the evening, at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning--
