"So innocent blood will not be shed in the midst of your land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance, and bloodguiltiness be on you.

Then shall ye do unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.

then you shall do to him just as he had intended to do to his brother. Thus you shall purge the evil from among you.

And those which remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil among you.
NASB:
"The rest will hear and be afraid, and will never again do such an evil thing among you.

Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.

'Forgive Your people Israel whom You have redeemed, O LORD, and do not place the guilt of innocent blood in the midst of Your people Israel.' And the bloodguiltiness shall be forgiven them.

"Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall remove the evil from your midst, and all Israel will hear of it and fear.
