What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
NASB:
"What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?
KJV:
Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come.
NASB:
"You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come."
KJV:
What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?
NASB:
"What is this statement that He said, 'You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot come '?"
KJV:
Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
NASB:
"Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the descendants of David, and from Bethlehem, the village where David was?"
KJV:
Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.
NASB:
Then He said again to them, "I go away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come."
KJV:
Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.
NASB:
So the Jews were saying, "Surely He will not kill Himself, will He, since He says, 'Where I am going, you cannot come '?"
KJV:
And went away again beyond Jordan into the place where John at first baptized; and there he abode.
NASB:
And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there.
KJV:
Now Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was in that place where Martha met him.
NASB:
Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha met Him.
KJV:
Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
NASB:
Therefore, when Mary came where Jesus was, she saw Him, and fell at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."
