NASB: For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears.
KJV: Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
NASB: You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
KJV: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;
NASB: knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,
KJV: Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
NASB: Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in the truth which is present with you.
