And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

They came to the house of the synagogue official; and He saw a commotion, and people loudly weeping and wailing.

And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

And entering in, He said to them, "Why make a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is asleep."

Immediately a rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered how Jesus had made the remark to him, "Before a rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times." And he began to weep.

And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

She went and reported to those who had been with Him, while they were mourning and weeping.

Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

"Blessed are you who hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.

Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

"Woe to you who are well-fed now, for you shall be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.

And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
NASB:
When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, "Do not weep."

They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.
NASB:
"They are like children who sit in the market place and call to one another, and they say, 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not weep.'

And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

and standing behind Him at His feet, weeping, she began to wet His feet with her tears, and kept wiping them with the hair of her head, and kissing His feet and anointing them with the perfume.
