KJV: But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
NASB: but now, with no further place for me in these regions, and since I have had for many years a longing to come to you
KJV: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
NASB: For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
KJV: For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?
NASB: For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
KJV: For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
NASB: For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.
KJV: It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
NASB: It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and immorality of such a kind as does not exist even among the Gentiles, that someone has his father's wife.
KJV: Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
NASB: Does any one of you, when he has a case against his neighbor, dare to go to law before the unrighteous and not before the saints?
KJV: If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
NASB: So if you have law courts dealing with matters of this life, do you appoint them as judges who are of no account in the church?
KJV: Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
NASB: Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?
KJV: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
NASB: Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
KJV: Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
NASB: But because of immoralities, each man is to have his own wife, and each woman is to have her own husband.
