KJV: Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, allwas vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.
NASB: Thus I considered all my activities which my hands had done and the labor which I had exerted, and behold all was vanity and striving after wind and there was no profit under the sun.
KJV: For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shallall be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.
NASB: For there is no lasting remembrance of the wise man as with the fool, inasmuch as in the coming days all will be forgotten. And how the wise man and the fool alike die!
KJV: And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity.
NASB: And who knows whether he will be a wise man or a fool? Yet he will have control over all the fruit of my labor for which I have labored by acting wisely under the sun. This too is vanity.
