KJV: And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
NASB: and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
KJV: Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
NASB: But someone may well say, "You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works."

NASB: But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, "GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE."
KJV: Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:
NASB: Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit."
KJV: For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
NASB: Instead, you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will live and also do this or that."
KJV: And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
NASB: and saying, "Where is the promise of His coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation."
KJV: If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
NASB: If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth;
KJV: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
NASB: If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
