Strong's Exhaustive Concordance

A primitive root; to root, i.e. Strike into the soil, or (by implication) to pluck from it -- (take, cause to take) root (out).
KJV: I have seen the foolish taking root: but suddenly I cursed his habitation.
NASB: "I have seen the foolish taking root, And I cursed his abode immediately.
KJV: Then let me sow, and let another eat; yea, let my offspring be rooted out.
