A primitive root; to strip off -- crop off, cut down (up), pluck.
KJV: When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.
NASB: "When you enter your neighbor's standing grain, then you may pluck the heads with your hand, but you shall not wield a sickle in your neighbor's standing grain.
KJV: Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
NASB: "While it is still green and not cut down, Yet it withers before any other plant.
