A primitive root; to sigh -- groan, mourn, sigh.
KJV: And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
NASB: Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God.
KJV: When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
NASB: When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, But when a wicked man rules, people groan.
KJV: The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.
NASB: The new wine mourns, The vine decays, All the merry-hearted sigh.
