And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.
NASB:
So afterward Joshua struck them and put them to death, and he hanged them on five trees; and they hung on the trees until evening.
KJV:
And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave's mouth, which remain until this very day.
NASB:
It came about at sunset that Joshua gave a command, and they took them down from the trees and threw them into the cave where they had hidden themselves, and put large stones over the mouth of the cave, to this very day.

And build an altar unto the LORD thy God upon the top of this rock, in the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.

The trees went forth on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us.

"Once the trees went forth to anoint a king over them, and they said to the olive tree, 'Reign over us!'

But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
NASB:
"But the olive tree said to them, 'Shall I leave my fatness with which God and men are honored, and go to wave over the trees?'

And the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and reign over us.
NASB:
"Then the trees said to the fig tree, 'You come, reign over us!'
KJV:
But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?
NASB:
"But the fig tree said to them, 'Shall I leave my sweetness and my good fruit, and go to wave over the trees?'
KJV:
Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and reign over us.
NASB:
"Then the trees said to the vine, 'You come, reign over us!'
