KJV: For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
NASB: For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries.
KJV: But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
NASB: But one who prophesies speaks to men for edification and exhortation and consolation.
KJV: He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
NASB: One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but one who prophesies edifies the church.

NASB: But now, brethren, if I come to you speaking in tongues, what will I profit you unless I speak to you either by way of revelation or of knowledge or of prophecy or of teaching?
KJV: So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.
NASB: So also you, unless you utter by the tongue speech that is clear, how will it be known what is spoken? For you will be speaking into the air.
