A prolonged form of a primary verb; to grow ("wax"), i.e. Enlarge (literal or figurative, active or passive) -- grow (up), (give the) increase.
KJV: And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
NASB: "And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do not toil nor do they spin,
KJV: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
NASB: and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that THE BIRDS OF THE AIR come and NEST IN ITS BRANCHES."
