So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king's commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.
NASB:
The couriers, hastened and impelled by the king's command, went out, riding on the royal steeds; and the decree was given out at the citadel in Susa.
KJV:
But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.
NASB:
"But now it has come to you, and you are impatient; It touches you, and you are dismayed.
KJV:
Even when I remember I am afraid , and trembling taketh hold on my flesh.
NASB:
"Even when I remember, I am disturbed, And horror takes hold of my flesh.
KJV:
Therefore snares are round about thee, and sudden fear troubleth thee;
NASB:
"Therefore snares surround you, And sudden dread terrifies you,
KJV:
Therefore am I troubled at his presence: when I consider, I am afraid of him.
NASB:
"Therefore, I would be dismayed at His presence; When I consider, I am terrified of Him.
KJV:
For God maketh my heart soft, and the Almighty troubleth me:

"It is God who has made my heart faint, And the Almighty who has dismayed me,

Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
NASB:
Then He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,

Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed .
NASB:
Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am pining away; Heal me, O LORD, for my bones are dismayed.
KJV:
My soul is also sore vexed : but thou, O LORD, how long?
NASB:
And my soul is greatly dismayed; But You, O LORD-- how long?
KJV:
Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed : let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
NASB:
All my enemies will be ashamed and greatly dismayed; They shall turn back, they will suddenly be ashamed.
