"How often is the lamp of the wicked put out, Or does their calamity fall on them? Does God apportion destruction in His anger?

That the wicked is reserved to the day of destruction? they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.

"For the wicked is reserved for the day of calamity; They will be led forth at the day of fury.

Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction .

"On the right hand their brood arises; They thrust aside my feet and build up against me their ways of destruction.

Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?

"Is it not calamity to the unjust And disaster to those who work iniquity?

For destruction from God was a terror to me, and by reason of his highness I could not endure.

"For calamity from God is a terror to me, And because of His majesty I can do nothing.
