KJV: Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
NASB: Guard your steps as you go to the house of God and draw near to listen rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools; for they do not know they are doing evil.
KJV: As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labour, which he may carry away in his hand.
NASB: As he had come naked from his mother's womb, so will he return as he came. He will take nothing from the fruit of his labor that he can carry in his hand.
KJV: And this also is a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind?
NASB: This also is a grievous evil-- exactly as a man is born, thus will he die. So what is the advantage to him who toils for the wind?
KJV: For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness.
NASB: for it comes in futility and goes into obscurity; and its name is covered in obscurity.
KJV: Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told, yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place?
NASB: "Even if the other man lives a thousand years twice and does not enjoy good things-- do not all go to one place?"
KJV: For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living?
NASB: For what advantage does the wise man have over the fool? What advantage does the poor man have, knowing how to walk before the living?
KJV: Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
NASB: What the eyes see is better than what the soul desires. This too is futility and a striving after wind.
KJV: It is better to go to the house of mourning, than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.
NASB: It is better to go to a house of mourning Than to go to a house of feasting, Because that is the end of every man, And the living takes it to heart.
KJV: Be not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in an evil thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him.
NASB: "Do not be in a hurry to leave him. Do not join in an evil matter, for he will do whatever he pleases."
