From an unused root meaning to curb; a halter (as restraining); by implication, the jaw -- bridle.
KJV: Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.
NASB: "Because He has loosed His bowstring and afflicted me, They have cast off the bridle before me.
KJV: Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?
NASB: "Who can strip off his outer armor? Who can come within his double mail?
