"And if he knocks out a tooth of his male or female slave, he shall let him go free on account of his tooth.

And if a man shall open a pit, or if a man shall dig a pit, and not cover it, and an ox or an ass fall therein;

"If a man opens a pit, or digs a pit and does not cover it over, and an ox or a donkey falls into it,

And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

So the sons of Levi did as Moses instructed, and about three thousand men of the people fell that day.

And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.

'Also anything on which one of them may fall when they are dead becomes unclean, including any wooden article, or clothing, or a skin, or a sack-- any article of which use is made-- it shall be put in the water and be unclean until evening, then it becomes clean.

And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.

'As for any earthenware vessel into which one of them may fall, whatever is in it becomes unclean and you shall break the vessel.

And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
NASB:
'Everything, moreover, on which part of their carcass may fall becomes unclean; an oven or a stove shall be smashed; they are unclean and shall continue as unclean to you.
