KJV: Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
NASB: Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
KJV: For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
NASB: For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment;
KJV: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
NASB: But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
