"Would that God were willing to crush me, That He would loose His hand and cut me off!

If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.

I will say unto God , Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.

"I will say to God, 'Do not condemn me; Let me know why You contend with me.

But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

"But would that God might speak, And open His lips against you,

And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth .

And show you the secrets of wisdom! For sound wisdom has two sides. Know then that God forgets a part of your iniquity.

Canst thou by searching find out God ? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

"Can you discover the depths of God? Can you discover the limits of the Almighty?

I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God , and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.

"I am a joke to my friends, The one who called on God and He answered him; The just and blameless man is a joke.

The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly .
NASB:
"The tents of the destroyers prosper, And those who provoke God are secure, Whom God brings into their power.
KJV:
Hast thou heard the secret of God ? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself?
NASB:
"Do you hear the secret counsel of God, And limit wisdom to yourself?
