And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.
NASB:
"And you shall make the altar of acacia wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide; the altar shall be square, and its height shall be three cubits.
KJV:
And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.
NASB:
"You shall put it beneath, under the ledge of the altar, so that the net will reach halfway up the altar.
KJV:
And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.
NASB:
"You shall make poles for the altar, poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with bronze.
KJV:
And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.
NASB:
"Its poles shall be inserted into the rings, so that the poles shall be on the two sides of the altar when it is carried.
KJV:
And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
NASB:
"They shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they enter the tent of meeting, or when they approach the altar to minister in the holy place, so that they do not incur guilt and die. It shall be a statute forever to him and to his descendants after him.
KJV:
And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.
NASB:
"You shall take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger; and you shall pour out all the blood at the base of the altar.
KJV:
And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and burn them upon the altar.
NASB:
"You shall take all the fat that covers the entrails and the lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and offer them up in smoke on the altar.
