to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the edible creature and the creature which is not to be eaten.

Then the priest shall consider: and, behold, if the leprosy have covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean that hath the plague: it is all turned white: he is clean.

then the priest shall look, and behold, if the leprosy has covered all his body, he shall pronounce clean him who has the infection; it has all turned white and he is clean.

"Now if a man loses the hair of his head, he is bald; he is clean.

And he that hath his hair fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald: yet is he clean.

"If his head becomes bald at the front and sides, he is bald on the forehead; he is clean.
