Or Tchaphnchec (Ezek. 30:18) {tekh- af-nekh-ace'}; or Tachpnec (Jeremiah 2:16) {takh-pen-ace'}; of Egyptian derivation; Tachpanches, Techaphneches or Tachpenes, a place in Egypt -- Tahapanes, Tahpanhes, Tehaphnehes.
KJV: Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy head.
NASB: "Also the men of Memphis and Tahpanhes Have shaved the crown of your head.
KJV: So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.
