Strong's Exhaustive Concordance

From an unused root meaning to wrap over; a veil -- vail.
KJV: For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
NASB: She said to the servant, "Who is that man walking in the field to meet us?" And the servant said, "He is my master." Then she took her veil and covered herself.
KJV: And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a vail, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.
NASB: So she removed her widow's garments and covered herself with a veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gateway of Enaim, which is on the road to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah had grown up, and she had not been given to him as a wife.
KJV: And she arose, and went away, and laid by her vail from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.
NASB: Then she arose and departed, and removed her veil and put on her widow's garments.
