From na'ar; something shaken out, i.e. Tow (as the refuse of flax) -- tow.

see HEBREW na'ar

KJV: Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he brake the withs, as a thread of tow is broken when it toucheth the fire. So his strength was not known.
NASB: Now she had men lying in wait in an inner room. And she said to him, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" But he snapped the cords as a string of tow snaps when it touches fire. So his strength was not discovered.
KJV: And the strong shall be as tow, and the maker of it as a spark, and they shall both burn together, and none shall quench them.
NASB: The strong man will become tinder, His work also a spark. Thus they shall both burn together And there will be none to quench them.
