NASB: Then the king said to the wise men who understood the times-- for it was the custom of the king so to speak before all who knew law and justice
KJV: And Mordecai walked every day before the court of the women's house, to know how Esther did, and what should become of her.
NASB: Every day Mordecai walked back and forth in front of the court of the harem to learn how Esther was and how she fared.

And I have not been summoned to come to the king for these thirty days."
KJV: For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
NASB: "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as this?"
