KJV: For betterit is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.
NASB: For it is better that it be said to you, "Come up here," Than for you to be placed lower in the presence of the prince, Whom your eyes have seen.
KJV: Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for betteris a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.
NASB: Do not forsake your own friend or your father's friend, And do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity; Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.
KJV: Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have goodthings in possession.
NASB: He who leads the upright astray in an evil way Will himself fall into his own pit, But the blameless will inherit good.
