Hebrews

13

1 Let brotherly love abide. 2 Do not be forgetful of hospitality, for through this, some have entertained angels unawares. 3 Remember prisoners as being bound with them; those being mistreated as yourselves also being in the body. 4 Let marriage be honorable in all, and the marriage bed undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. 5 Let your manner of life be without covetousness, being satisfied with the present; for He Himself has said: “Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you.” 6 So we are confident to say: “The Lord is my helper, and I will not be afraid; what shall man do to me?” 7 word-definition " data-lexid="328232">Remember word-definition " data-lexid="328233">those word-definition " data-lexid="328234">leading you, who word-definition " data-lexid="328236">spoke the word word-definition symbolism" data-lexid="328238">of God to you, of whom, word-definition " data-lexid="328239">considering the word-definition " data-lexid="328240">outcome of theirword-definition " data-lexid="328241"> way of life, word-definition " data-lexid="328242">you are to imitate the word-definition " data-lexid="328243">faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and to the ages. 9 Do not be carried away by various and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, in which those being devoted were not profited. 10 We have an altar from which those serving in the tabernacle have no authority to eat. 11 For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought for sin into the holy places by the high priest are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the gate, so that he might sanctify the people by the own blood. 13 Therefore we should go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 14 For here we do not have an abiding city, but we are seeking for the coming one. 15 Through Him then, we should offer the sacrifice of praise continually, everything to God, that is, the fruit of the lips confessing His name. 16 And do not be forgetful of the good, and of the sharing; for God is well pleased with such sacrifices. 17 Obey you those leading and be submissive—for they watch over your souls, as about to give account—so that they may do this with joy and not groaning, for this is unprofitable for you. 18 Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves well in all things. 19 And more abundantly I exhort you to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly. 20 Now may the God of peace, having brought out from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep, our Lord Jesus, by the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 equip you in everything good, in order to do His will, working in us that which is well pleasing before Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory to the ages of the ages. Amen. 22 Now I exhort you, brothers, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have only written to you in few words. 23 You know our brother Timothy has been released, with whom I will see you if he should come sooner. 24 Greet all those leading you and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you. 25 Grace be with all of you.
