Hey everyone, I have been a bit under the weather today. But I had a wonderful time with the Lord in my studies. One question I had for the Lord is the incident in Matthew 17 of "temple tax fish". I have been praying about this for several months and since every word in scripture is there as a lesson for us, I wanted to know what it could mean. Today, I felt the Lord open my mind to a possible meaning. Let's note that fish in Jewish tradition is a symbol of the Messiah. Money is almost like food and water to humans. We can agree it is hard to navigate this world without it. Money can represent a "source" of life (idol) as opposed to God who is THE source of life. The Lord told Peter to go down and catch a fish and in the fish's mouth would be money. Peter did exactly that and returned with the money. I was excited. This is confirmation of a truth and pattern of scripture from Exodus. (Exodus 19) "Out of the mouth of Messiah comes EVERYTHING we need". And this includes money. So as we obey His Word and place ourselves in His Kingdom rulership, He will provide. Matthew 6
