Reading the 91st Psalm and what a true blessing this is to read.  Verse 11 stood out when it states that “For He will give you His angels [especial] charge Over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways  [of obedience and service].  I am reading from the Amplified Bible this morning.  I noticed all the “ands” and it really made me realize that God  in love and promises will do this “and” that such as accompany, defend, and preserve.  Other key words that stood out dealt with obedience and service.  We honor him in our love for him and our love for him is demonstrated in our obedience to Him and our service toward Him.  Lord let me be that obedient one and a servant of the Most high and honor him in all things.  

Matthew 23:7-9  call no one Rabbi, but except for Jesus.

We are disciples - a student, one who learns. We learn to obey the scripture.

Revelation comes to those who want to serve Him.

 

This is the passage of scripture that Paul is referring to in Romans 9. It's not about that God chooses damnation for some and salvation for others but the fact that he redeems those who are willing to be redeemed but if they aren't as Esau isn't, he has the choice and the sovreignty to "hate them and condemn them".

 

Ric and Mary, I watched your latest blog (are we part of God's household). It is an eye opener on the way we live each day, to not let the dust bunnies multiply under the bed, that is to continually clean our house (ourselves being the tabernacle of the Holy Spirit), and keep clean of idolatry. You put your finger on the first commandment with reason as it is easy for me to feel good if I don't steal or lie but allow myself to serve idols. Thank you for bringing up the reality that we live in God's house and that I need to get my heart right with him, following his rules. I pray that the Holy Spirit of God moves strongly in your conference, putting a desire in the participants' hearts to repent and realize that our real home is with Him, not only in the future but right now. May God keep blessing you both generously. I love you! François

Hello all. I have been here from the early days but when I try to use the site everything goes wrong. I finally did a big study and it failed to save and I never tried again. I have come on and tried to figure out what I used to know. I am in Bible College now and I want to make use of this site but someone is going to have to hold my hand step by step and teach me. I know I know there is a link Someone will have to go through the link with me. Nineveh - see Jonah: His message one of judgement, not repentance. Repentance was the response of Nineveh to his message of judgment. By the time of Nahum, Nineveh had exploited God's grace after Jonah's ministry there.
