Question to Answer: Did they understand this prophet (Deuteronomy 18:18)  to be the Messiah? If so, does this have an impact upon how they interpreted the person and work of the Lord Jesus? Does it have any bearing on their rejection of Him? (He just didn't fit the mold of Deuteronomy 18:18.)
