Of foreign derivation; the title of a Persian deputy or governor -- Tirshatha.
KJV: And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim.
NASB: The governor said to them that they should not eat from the most holy things until a priest stood up with Urim and Thummim.
