From an unused root of uncertain meaning; Lemek, the name of two antediluvian patriarchs -- Lamech.
KJV: And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.
NASB: Now to Enoch was born Irad, and Irad became the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael became the father of Methushael, and Methushael became the father of Lamech.
KJV: And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
NASB: Lamech took to himself two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other, Zillah.
