KJV: And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none.
NASB: Now the chief priests and the whole Council kept trying to obtain testimony against Jesus to put Him to death, and they were not finding any.
KJV: For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
NASB: For many were giving false testimony against Him, but their testimony was not consistent.
KJV: But neither so did their witness agree together.
NASB: Not even in this respect was their testimony consistent.
KJV: And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
