Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
NASB:
"Judah is a lion's whelp; From the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, And as a lion, who dares rouse him up?
KJV:
And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan.
NASB:
Of Dan he said, "Dan is a lion's whelp, That leaps forth from Bashan."
KJV:
Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

Even jackals offer the breast, They nurse their young; But the daughter of my people has become cruel Like ostriches in the wilderness.

And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.

and say, 'What was your mother? A lioness among lions! She lay down among young lions, She reared her cubs.

And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.

When she brought up one of her cubs, He became a lion, And he learned to tear his prey; He devoured men.

Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion.

When she saw, as she waited, That her hope was lost, She took another of her cubs And made him a young lion.

Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid?

Where is the den of the lions And the feeding place of the young lions, Where the lion, lioness and lion's cub prowled, With nothing to disturb them?
