Exodus 19. This is a powerful and foundational chapter of scripture. Exodus is the story of our lives living in idolatry which leads to slavery (Jeremiah), and choosing to believe in the Passover lamb (Christ) and then being ejected by the world system which then wishes to claim us back (this is happening in the US today). The journey begins with conflicts and complaints. At exodus 19 we suggest on your day Shabbat day or devotional time to prayerfully use BSC tools and go through this chapter. This chapter shows clearly what God's agenda is for our lives. And is a marriage proposal. It is also showing us how the spiritual interacts with physical. Why are there boundaries? What does mountain mean to us and the Jewish people? How do we live our lives being priests? Why was there smoke on the mountain? Why did Moses go up and down? What could that mean for our lives? (hint: repentance and total dependence) Check out the words with the tools of BSC and you will see that some go back to creation! Why would the people want to cross the boundary and gaze at God? What could be in their hearts? What is in our hearts? This chapter causes much worship, reflection and awe. We found ourselves continually going to the Lord and asking Him to show us what we were missing? Why was this xy or z here? What does it mean for us? We have literally been on fire in our hearts like the disciples on the road to Emmaus! Join us in a study here on BSC. Please share with us what you find.

Well, I am literally just getting started on here so am not quite sure where to go with things yet or how everything works. I look forward to learning with you all, and thanks for giving me this opportunity. I just wanted to share a new way I saw a passage after listening to Baruch's teachings on Mark because it now has become a favorite; Mark 15:29-30. Baruch was discussing how Yeshua, used His power in contrast to how the world does. The way he set it up helped me to see a verse in a new and striking light. Mark 15:29-30 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying "Aha! you who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself, and come down from the cross!" It came to my mind that perhaps He thought to Himself very simply; no, I am saving you. And how much those people in that moment showed Him why we need it. Maybe in a really painful and ironic way, He found encouragement in that moment as He saw His purpose while seeing people at their worst.

Hey everyone, I have been a bit under the weather today. But I had a wonderful time with the Lord in my studies. One question I had for the Lord is the incident in Matthew 17 of "temple tax fish". I have been praying about this for several months and since every word in scripture is there as a lesson for us, I wanted to know what it could mean. Today, I felt the Lord open my mind to a possible meaning. Let's note that fish in Jewish tradition is a symbol of the Messiah. Money is almost like food and water to humans. We can agree it is hard to navigate this world without it. Money can represent a "source" of life (idol) as opposed to God who is THE source of life. The Lord told Peter to go down and catch a fish and in the fish's mouth would be money. Peter did exactly that and returned with the money. I was excited. This is confirmation of a truth and pattern of scripture from Exodus. (Exodus 19) "Out of the mouth of Messiah comes EVERYTHING we need". And this includes money. So as we obey His Word and place ourselves in His Kingdom rulership, He will provide. Matthew 6
