But he said, "Who made you a prince or a judge over us? Are you intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid and said, "Surely the matter has become known."

Analysis:

This is a special word in Scripture. It could mean "the revelation of the Lord". This word is dabar. Or dbar or even davar. This is when God speaks to us and we are enlightened and this is the Word we can trust. See Exodus 3:1. The wilderness is made of this word. We can depend on it and why Christ said "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God". We can put our full weight of trust in this. It will also reveal sin.
